This holiday season, celebrate with something magical.
The Hamel Family Wines Magnum Collection, available exclusively for Winter 2022.
2014 Hamel Family Ranch Magnum
Bright aromas of dark cherry and plum deliver a resonant fruit purity over complex notes of crushed stones, violets, cedar and graphite.
The vintage from our valley floor estate vineyard exhibits the deepest, most saturated garnet hue of our 2014 allocated wines. The wine bears a broad and fresh signature with integrated, structured tannin and a juiciness that crests at mid-palate. Rich and full-bodied, it offers ample mouthfeel that persists through the finish.
This is a classic expression that provides pleasure in the near term, but will continue to develop over the next five to ten years.
2016 Isthmus Magnum
Dark ruby garnet in hue, this wine shows a bouquet of sweet dark cherry, plum and kirsch over complex notes of soy, vanilla and spice.
The fruit evolves to sweet mulled dark red fruits and blackberry preserve on the palate, framed by concentrated, sweet tannins and integrated oak.
This wine is the most structured and persistent Isthmus we have made to date. It will provide great drinking pleasure in the near term and continue to develop gracefully over the next ten years.
2017 Zinfandel Magnum
This wine is charming, with firm yet refined tannin that yields to a distinct freshness and juiciness. Welling with presence and persistence, the purity of fruit and stony minerality brings further energy to the wine, culminating in a savory and long finish.
Medium-dark ruby hued in the glass, this wine presents aromatic suggestions of dark cherry, rose petals, earth and game on the nose, with a thin herbal edge of sage and fennel. More dark red fruits emerge on the palate offering an interplay of floral and spice tones like violets, lavender, nutmeg and black peppercorn.
Accessible in its youth, this wine will continue to gain depth of flavor and complexity over the next ten years.
2019 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Magnum
Fine, complex and delineated. Showing a core of fresh citrus, pear and green apple over notes of fresh pastry, delicate white flowers and flint.
A pale straw hue in the glass, the emerging aromas are incredibly fine, complex and delineated – showing a core of fresh citrus, pear and green apple over notes of fresh pastry, delicate white flowers and flint. The tightly wound aromatics unfold effortlessly across the palate, with a structure that is textured and layered, but never heavy, due to generous freshness and a persistent and mineral finish.
The wine is accessible upon release, but will continue to age gracefully over the next ten years.
Please order by December 9th for Christmas delivery.
