The Setting
Behind a grove of hundred-year old olive trees and lavender, our contemporary Estate House tasting room nestles against a slope of oak woodland and manzanita chaparral, offering dramatic views of the Sonoma Mountain and Sonoma Valley.
The Experiences
Guests may tour our winery and extensive underground caves, or relax in one of our elegant salon spaces, constructed from black walnut, travertine, and basalt stone. Chef Thomas Mendel prepares exquisite small bites designed to complement the wines.
Estate Experience
An introduction to Hamel and our Estate Series wines

A seated tasting in the Estate House is thoughtfully interwoven with a guided tour of our winery and cave, allowing guests to connect each wine to its origins and the philosophy behind it. The curated selection of Hamel Estate wines is served with a gourmet bite.
Collectors’ Experience
An exploration of our limited-production wines

A guided tour of our winery and adjacent cave is followed by a seated tasting in our Estate House. The experience features our single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons and limited production red wines, thoughtfully chosen to highlight the craftsmanship and distinctive expressions of our estate vineyards. All are served alongside a gourmet snack.
Chef’s Experience
Our signature wine and food experience

Our most immersive wine and food experience begins with a tour of the winery and adjacent cave followed by a seated tasting in a communal setting. The experience includes a selection of current-release wines alongside pairings of gourmet composed bites prepared by Chef Thomas Mendel, named Best Young Chef, World, 2024. This is a communal experience.

For an out-of-this-world tasting, book the Chef’s Experience. You’ll enjoy the meal with a wall of doors opening to the expansive vineyards.
